KONICA COUNTY INVITATION GALA GRAND CENTRAL POOLS,STOCKPORT - 25/04/2009

Cheshire> convincingly retained the Konica trophy at >Stockport on the 25^th April. However, their task was made easier when Staffordshire were late arriving due to the closure of the M6 and consequently missed several of the early events.

Cheshire started well with Jessica Powell winning the Open 400m IM. Jessica made it a double later in the programme by winning the shorter 200m Medley.

Sarah Eaglesham and Elliot Bloor were also double winners with first places in the 15/Over 100m Backstroke and Open 200m Freestyle and 14/Under 50m & 100m Butterfly respectively.

• Liam Selby - 15/Over 100m Freestyle
• Sam Davies - 200m IM.
• Will Warburton – 15/Over 50m Backstroke
• James Gibson – 200m Freestyle

Team Captains Sarah Eaglesham and Michael Duncan collected the trophy from the President of Cheshire County, Andrew Wright.
