Games

"Desert Island" is a great game to play during Stage 6, and can also be helpful with the outcomes in Stages 5 and 7 with a little adaptation.

It's pretty easy to play... The island is at one pool edge and a shipwreck is at the other. The players retrieve objects from the shipwreck and take them to the island. They move continuously, changing direction to collect objects and to avoid obstacles.

You can help your pupils achieve outcomes four and nine (above) by getting them to swim with their clothes on and perform a ‘shout and signal’ rescue.
