About Cheshire County Water Polo and Swimming Association

Cheshire County Water Polo and Swimming Association, founded in 1902, represents the interests of affiliated swimmers, clubs and related organisations throughout Cheshire, including swimming, diving, water polo and Synchro, we also cater for athletes with disabilities, throughout the various disciplines. The Association has grown into a prominant swimming association with some fifty clubs affiliated in the administrative County of Cheshire.

Although modern Cheshire boundaries may have shrunk, clubs are allocated to the county via the traditional boundaries, as Wirral, Merseyside and Greater Manchester clubs still have to be either Cheshire or Lancs.

Officers of the Association are all members of Swim England through their individual affiliated club membership.

The Association run Championships, age group competitions, training camps and development programmes that are open to all affiliated clubs in Cheshire.

Swimmers can take part in our competitive programmes from the age of 9years. All these programmes are designed to create pathways for our club swimmers into the Regional and National programmes.
